Ivan Akimov, Russian painter (7/6/1957–8/17/2011)

He has been a member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1984 and the Moscow Union of Artists since 1993. Since 1984, he has participated in the all-Union, Russian and Moscow exhibitions, as well as internationally. He lived and worked in Moscow.

His works are in the collections of Russian art museums (18 works belong to the Moscow Museum of Modern Art MMOMA), in the SWISS Bank collection, and in private collections in Argentina, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, the USA, Portugal, Russia, Finland, France, and Japan, including the Peugeot-Peyron (France), The Earl of Gowrie (Great Britain), W. Wittrock (Germany), and Peter Max (USA) collections.

He died on August 17, 2011.
